Distance: 235 miles

Celebrated the New Year in grand style with a little jaunt up into old coal mining territory. Didn't bother with taking a map. Just figured I'd just go and keep the sun to the right, until it was time to go home. All in all it was a great ride. The asphalt got a little rough just after crossing into Kentucky on Hwy 167. Absolutely gorgeous scenery. Especially riding through Big South Fork State Park. Some remnants of the old strip mining can still be seen, but is starting to look just like natural rock bluffs.
